Information Technology
Welcome to JU's world of information technology. We have been working to keep JU in the top 10% of all wired universities in the country. As a JU community member, you have access to all the services described in these pages. The Helpdesk is the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, from trouble calls to project requests. You may contact the Helpdesk at 256-7200 or by sending an email to helpdesk@ju.edu. Trouble tickets can be created online by going to http://helpdesk.ju.edu. You may also stop by the Helpdesk which is located in Founders 14. (See also our helpful hints section.) Helpdesk Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wed, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voice mail messages can be left at any time. Email System IT has implemented a new appliance to help reduce the amount of SPAM you get in your inbox. One feature of this new appliance is its User Quarantine Mailbox. You've probably noticed one email per day from this system that lists all the SPAM that it's stopped. For instructions on what to do with that email and all your SPAM, click here. Phone System If you would like general instructions for setting up your mailbox, click here. If you would like to view a detailed flowchart, illustrating the various menu options, click here. Click here to report a problem with the new phone system. (requires you to log in) Accessibility for Students with Disabilities JU has several computing technologies that assist students who have handicaps that prevent normal interaction with a computer, and for students with learning disabilities.
