Ways of Giving

As important as outright gifts are to the University, JU accepts gifts of real estate, appreciated property and securities. Deferred gifts and other tax planning approaches can often make more substantial gifts possible through the planned giving program.

In addition, the following funds accept tax-deductible contributions:

Jacksonville University Athletic Association:

Since 1933, the university athletic association has raised funds in support of JU’s athletic programs. Our mission is to help JU develop and maintain the NCAA’s best small private university Division I athletic program. As a donor, you are helping support the scholarships and equipment needed to compete at the highest level of collegiate athletics.

In appreciation for their generous support, members of the Athletic Foundation receive special benefits such as:

The Friends of the Fine Arts
Founded by Dr Frances Bartlett Kinne, Florence Davis and Amy Swisher Wilcox was established to support and promote the Arts at Jacksonville University. Many contributions have been invaluable in bringing a variety of art, dance, music and theatre events to JU, all of which create an outstanding cultural environment for our students and the community in general.

Friends of the Library
On April 18, 1966 approximately two hundred guests attended a membership coffee held inside the Carl S. Swisher Library, one hundred fifty-five joined the organization. From that time until the present, the Friends of the Library have contributed over $100,000 in books, journals, and equipment to the Jacksonville University Library. Our hope is that you will join with those members over a long procession which began in the past and continues into the present, always looking forward to the future as they assist the students and faculty of Jacksonville University.
